VIENNA BIOCENTER SUMMER SCHOOL
provides a 10 week internship to graduate and undergraduate students every year
who are motivated and interested in the field of life science. Only 25 -30
worthy applicants get the opportunity to work in a dynamic(energetic)
scientific environment. Candidates who are selected for the programme are
provided good accommodation , travel and food stipend. This internship begins
on the last Friday of June and ends on the last Friday of August every
year.
ABOUT INTERNSHIP
Each intern will be allotted a faculty
member of school who will mentor him and work closely with the intern. Many
research projects in different fields such as bioinformatics , Molecular
biology , neuroscience etc are available. He will be assisted by a
laboratory member so that he can try out experiments, examine data, create
ideas and discuss results. Moreover, he will also attend meetings. Apart from
that there will be weekly lectures by the faculty members which are related to
research. At the end of internship each student will give a presentation on
his/her research and the student with the best presentation will be awarded.
PERKS AND BENEFITS:
Internship will be conducted in Vienna (Austria). It will be fully funded. Each intern will be given a 1400 euros stipend for the whole internship. Accommodation , Medical insurance , travel expenses,airfare all will be provided besides that there will be social events which they can attend.
WHO ARE ELIGIBLE:
Students in their 3rd or 4th year of
bachelor’s or who have completed their 1st year in masters by 30th
june can apply.(bachelors and masters should be in life sciences).
- Good communication skills. IELTS is not required.
- You must show your transcript as proof for your enrolment in university.
- Candidates who will be selected will be informed via email in the first week of March 2022.
