IELTS
NOTE: The IELTS content,
timing,
structure, and report form is the same whether you take the test on paper (paper-based IELTS) or on the computer (computer-delivered IELTS), and in IELTS the Speaking test is always face to face with
a certified IELTS Examiner.
If you want to take computer-delivered IELTS, you will take the Listening, Reading, and Writing test
using a computer. All the processes of computer-delivered IELTS would be the same as to paper-based IELTS, including:

In the computer-delivered IELTS Listening test, the timing is somehow different from the paper-based IELTS. The reason behind this is that the paper-based IELTS test-takers transfer answers to an answer sheet. This step becomes extra when

Computer Delivered IELTS Benefits and Problems
Is the
computer-based IELTS test different from paper-based IELTS?
No, computer-based IELTS test and paper-based IELTS are the
same tests, but in computer-based
IELTS you have to put your answers
on the computer rather than on paper.
Is the
marking strategy the same for computer-based IELTS?
Yes, the marking strategy is the same as in paper-based IELTS. All that is different from the paper-based IELTS you
type your answers on a computer screen instead of paper.
Are there
any differences in timings for the Computer and Paper IELTS?
There is one difference only. In the IELTS listening of the paper-based test, you are given 10 minutes extra at the end of the
test to transfer your answers from the question paper to the answer sheet.
In the computer-based IELTS extra time is not given. This is because you will type your
answers directly on the computer screen and at the end of the test you will be provided wit only 2 minutes extra to check your answers.

typing than in writing. If you prefer to type and can type at speed, this is
